Snow Weigh In

by hereigoagain @ 10/02/2007 - 03:25:24 pm

Due to the terrible weather condition here I didn't go for my weigh in last night. I have last weight by my scales, butI always use my counsellors scales as my official weight, so I won't be updating my tracker this week.
Fortunately weather isn't so bad today so hubby is going over to pick up my "food" for the rest of the week otherwise I shall die of starvation 8| 8|
On another notes, and I don't know why this got to me so much, but it did :**: A friend of mine lost a lot of weight a couple of years ago (around 9 stone) and went through loads of plastic surgery etc afterwards. However, she has now put back on 3 and a half stone, making her 15 stone 7 (that's the weight she tells me anyway), which makes her 3 stone heavier than me. Last week she asked if I had any clothes I had grown out of that she could have, so I found out some 18's and 16's for her. Anyway last night she rang and told me that they were all too big for her. For some reason this really >:XX me off. I've only just gone into a size 14 and am still wearing some size 16's, so at 3 stone heavier than me how can 16's and 18's be too big?? I know I shouldn't be bothered, but it makes me think that she's saying "Look I'm 3 stone heavier than you, but I can still get into smaller clothes!!".
She's now frantically doing "Slimfast" to try and slim down.
Sigh - anyway that's my moan over.
Have a good weekends

You know, I often think the same thing. I look at people and know that I'm not as big as them - but they are still buying a size or two smaller than me. How does that work? OK I'm only 5ft 2 - height must be the answer!

You're right - I'm only 5 ft 4 and she is taller than me :)

Height is part of it but it's also down to your build, some people just carry the weight differently and can fit into smaller sizes - the gits!

well, she might be like me, oops, i am 5' 7" and at my heaviest weighed 22 stone, i have had doctors do a double take as they can't believe how much i weigh, even at weightwatchers with my daughter the other week the woman couldn't believe how much menekse weighed and when i told her how much i weigh she just about fell off her chair. seems unfair but that's just the way it goes i guess. the things is at least you have lost it, won't put it back on and are being honest about it which is, in turn, helping an awful lot of people - her way of doing it will just end up hurting her in the end. take heart.

Size is a funny thing. You may have guessed by now that I don't struggle with my own weight, but at 5'11" tall, with a large frame (my gynaecologist kindly told me it would take a small horse to trouble my hips!) even at my skinniest I don't drop below a size 14 trouser. I have two sets of bras - when I've put on a few lbs I wear the 36B's and when I'm skinny I wear the other 36B's....it's all in the design!

The horse line made me laugh :))

That's it I shall just have to grow a few inches. I tried to convince myself I was taller the other week, but hubby measured me and unfortunately I was still only 5 ft 4!!! damn. Where can you get those medieval stretching racks from??

Hey Sarah...

I can't stand people like that! Just don't care about her. Instead, use her as a motivation. Go thinner than her!!

Then perhaps later, u can call her and say, u know I have lost so much more weight. Perhaps, u want to follow me go shopping! Or ya and also Im wanting to give away my old clothes, they're obviously too big. U want them? Then give and evil smirk.

Hehe!

What is Slim Fast anyways?

Jasmine you are naughty!!! Don't encourage me :))

Slimfast is a powdered drink that you have instead of meals, some people think its like Cambridge, but its nowhere near the same. It's full of sugar and not enough vitamins

Oooooooooooooooo how did you get the graph from the ticker factory?

I want one of those!

I continue to be dead impressed btw. As for your 'friend', I suggest that revenge is a dish best served cold. When you reach your goal weight (and it won't be long now!), call her and offer her the last clothes you wore just before reaching goal.

:)) that's naughty - but you're right !!!

The graph thingy is a new thing. You just have to enter your details on the same page as your ticker and then paste into your blog the same as the ticker.
